I've had my Waratah for a few weeks now and slept in it 4 times now and I'm absolutely blown away, it's stunning! The craftsmanship is excellent, and the comfort and warmth to weight ratio is a 10/10 for me. It completes my sleep system. I have few pieces of backpacking gear that I adore and this quilt is one of them. Worth every penny. I’ve used a lot of hiking gear over the years, and one thing I’ve learned is that quality gear can make a huge difference to your comfort and enjoyment on the trail.

The quality and care from Deb is superb and she went above and beyond with customer service to get this beauty to me ahead of a planned mountain trip. I went for the -10 rated as a female who really feels the cold and could not be happier. I slept so soundly in the valley and also in the peaks - it performed perfectly with big temperature variations. Love the freedom to open the quilt fully and be able to keep cooler toes or warmer as needed for conditions. Really pleased I switched to a quilt and can not recommend this one high enough.

I also didn’t realise my quilt has a top flap — such a great surprise! It keeps the drafts away and makes it extra cosy. I used to have one on my Nemo sleeping bag but had to return it due to a quality issue, so I’m thrilled to have it back again with this quilt.

The only minor thing is that I didn’t expect the strap to be white. It might get dirty quicker, but since it’ll be tucked under my pad, it’s no big deal 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've received my new sleeping bag, and I'm very pleased. Debra provides a great personal service and seems to take great pride in making her sleeping bags. The down is extremely plush and seems to be of high quality. The stitching also seems very strong and tidy. The design with the footbox that can be opened is great, and the neck collar and closure strings seem perfectly placed. And as you can see I made use of the customisable colours which was great fun. What's not to like! Now I need to find time for some overnight hikes.

I decided to get a quilt as I was a side sleeper. I am section hiking the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand and so needed something that covered all the bases. I got the -5°C quilt as I had experienced snow on the trail. Since getting the quilt I have had to sleep by the sea in 25°C heat but was able to pull the end up off my feet and top down lower on my torso. I have also slept in an alpine area where the temperature was down to 3°C with the foot box zipped up and the top around my neck cinched with no extra layers of clothing. Both times I had a great night's sleep. This along with a decent sleeping pad is the perfect sleep system for me. Thank you Debra your quilts are the best !!!

I just did a winter hike in the Negev Desert and my -5 bag kept me toasty warm, even sleeping outside. Worth noting that the baffles are arranged differently to how they appear in the pictures here (similar design to quilt but with zip all the way) but it doesn’t affect comfort or function. Very happy!

Absolutely love my custom Waratah quilt! Was always hesitant to try a quilt but after several sleeping bags to no avail, I decided to take the plunge and have zero regrets! I've finally had a great night sleep on the trails!

Really impressed on the first outing, the bag is made to a high standard and even though it feels fragile compared to my 20 YO sleeping bag it is far from fragile. Going from a bag to a quilt in a hammock, getting organised is so much easier.

Recieved my quilt the other day. I live in lutruwita (Tasmania). Its a custom quilt, reg/wide, black on black, -10 with 75g overstuff. I havent taken it on country yet but ive been in it. Its lofty, toasty warm and so lightweight. Strapped to my 25 x 72 inch pad perfectly. Great quality materials and craftsmanship. Accessories are fantastic. Cant wait to pack it out on my next trip. Have used the quilt on a couple of camping trips in Australia and a 4 day trek in Grand Canyon. Love it! Very comfy and warm. Haven't had any super cold nights so far, only down to about 6 degrees, but have never felt cold. Love how it opens up and doubles as a blanket to wrap around your shoulders when watching the sunrise.

took the quilt on the Bibbulmun track for 4 nights and even on the coldest night which was single digits did I stay warm. Very compact and light too. thank you I love it.

We purchased two -10 deg Waratah Quilts and couldn't be happier with the quality. Ryan ensured they were delivered within 4 weeks as requested. We have used these extensively on the boat and camping and mainly used in my camping hammock. I have been using quilts for years and these are amazingly warm. We must support Australian made local products and Ryan's products certainly live up to our high expectation.
